PA man who 'collaborated' with Israel sentenced to death

A Palestinian Authority court in Jenin on Saturday sentenced a Palestinian man to death by firing squad after convicting him of "collaboration" with Israel.

The death sentence was handed down by a Palestinian "military" court headed by judge Nasser Abu Oun.The Palestinians did not release the man's name. But they said that he was 23 years old and had served in one of the PA's security forces in the West Bank.

The man, who was arrested over a year ago, is from a village in the Jenin area.
