The Palestinian Authority was slated to take responsibility for the Erez and Kerem Shalom crossings between the Gaza Strip and Israel, PA Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa said Friday.

Mustafa told Palestinian news agency Ma'an that the PA will assume control of building materials entering the coastal enclave and Palestinian movement between the Strip and the West Bank.

Under the parameters of the Egyptian-brokered plan to end the recent conflict in Gaza, the PA was expected to take control from Hamas for administering Gaza's borders.
