A government spokesperson issued a warning to Israel about continued underground excavations in Silwan, an east Jerusalem town. Silwan is just outside the Old City and sits on top of Hezekiah's tunnel and adjacent to the City of David.

He specified that the digging creates earth landslides and cracks in the ground and asks for the international community to intervene.
