Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández as part of his state visit in Brazil this Tuesday.

The three discussed the future opening of a Honduran embassy in Jerusalem and an Israeli one in Tegucigalpa.  The visit was made possible due to Sara Netanyahu, the wife of the prime minister, who met with Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales and his wife Patricia during her visit to that country.

The Morales called Hernández and suggested he meet the Netanyahus and discuss the embassy move when he is in Brazil for the swearing in ceremony of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
