Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Finance Minister Yair Lapid, and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon met on Friday with defense officials who reported to the ministers on the implications of the proposed cuts in the defense budget, Israel Radio reported.

The defense officials emphasized that in the coming year the budget cuts would force the security system to stop projects, fire staff and that the cuts would also effect the defense industries. According to the report, Netanyahu has not yet given his approval to the army's planned austerity measures.
