A 25-year-old Palestinian man was indicted by Jerusalem District Court on Thursday on the charge of raping an 18-year-old girl from Beitar Illit.

The girl allegedly became involved in aiding her boyfriend and the man, Muhammad Shosha from the village of Husan near Bethlehem, in smuggling Palestinian workers without permits into and out of Israel due to her financial difficulties.

While alone in the house of Shosha, he allegedly forcibly took her to an isolated place and raped her. Shosha gave NIS 1000 to keep quite about the incident and allegedly threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
