Palestinian arrested for stone throwing at Damascus Gate

A Palestinian man was arrested on Friday after throwing stones at authorities at Damascus Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem, who have stepped up security provisions in the area.
Disturbances were also reported on Nablus road in the West Bank, however the situation was subdued by security forces in the area.
The violence comes amid Palestinian calls for a “day of rage” in Jerusalem following Friday prayers.
Police have preemptively deployed some 800 extra officers to patrol the Old City and Arab neighborhoods throughout the capital, and will bar Muslim men under the age of 40 from ascending the Temple Mount as a precautionary measure.
