Palestinian detainees in Israel prisons begin hunger strike

Palestinian Authority Minister of Detainee Affairs Issa Qaraqe announced on Tuesday that Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails have begun a hunger strike.

The detainees are protesting for an end to the solitary confinement of PFLP leader Ahmad Saadat and 20 other prisoners and the chaining the detainees' hands and feet during meetings with their families and lawyers, according to the report.
