Palestinian security forces arrested more than 40 Hamas members on Wednesday following the funeral of one of the terror group's leaders in the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.

The arrests were made in light of "the events that followed the funeral" of Mohammad al-Hanbali, a Palestinian source told Ma'an.

According to the source, the Hamas men attacked the ambulance carrying al-Hanbali's remains in the Fatah-run area.
