Parole Board decides to release ex-PM Olmert from jail

The Parole Board has decided to shorten former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's jail sentence by a third, local media reported Thursday morning. His jail sentence has been shortened by a third.

Olmert is serving a 27-month sentence for bribery, fraud and other charges in one of the largest corruption cases the country has known. He was imprisoned in February 2016.
