A pedestrian was killed and her year old grand-daughter was severely injured by a vehicle on the corners of Remez and Sderot Binyamin in Netanya on Monday. The infant was injured when its stroller was trapped under the car.

The car also ran over a number of pedestrians, one of whom sustained moderate injuries. The vehicle lost control before the collision, emergency services said.

Paramedics were providing on-site first aid to the injured who have sustained light to moderate level injuries. It is still unclear what led to the accident. The baby was evacuated to Netanya’s Laniado Medical Center.
