President Shimon Peres called Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef on Saturday evening to convey his deep felt condolences over the death of his eldest son, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef.

Peres will also call on Ovadia Yosef at his home this week to personally convey his condolences to him to other family mourners.
