President Shimon Peres paid his condolences Sunday morning to Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef on the death of his son.

Peres visited Yosef at his home in the wake of the death of his son - Ya'akov - following his struggle with cancer."[Ya'kov Yosef] was an individual with a wonderful memory and vast knowledge of the Torah... he resolved many problems and there are many people who owe him thanks," Peres said.
