Peres sends condolences to British queen over London attack

President Shimon Peres sent a letter of condolences to Britain's Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, expressing his shock and sadness over the attack on a soldier in London on Wednesday.
The soldier was hacked to death by two men on the street shouting Jihadist slogans.
"In my name and on behalf of the people of Israel, I wish to extend my sincere condolences to the family of the victim and to the people of Britain," Peres wrote.
"Terrorism is a global threat and one the world must face together," the letter continues. "I know that the people of Britain will stand strong in the face of this threat and the State of Israel stands side by side with them."
