MK Amir Peretz announced Thursday morning on Army radio that he plans to disband the government on Tuesday if elected Labor party leader in Monday's Labor leadership primaries.

Peretz stated that it is important for the party leader to be an MK in order to function as an opposition leader, taking a jab at his opponent Avi Gabbay who is currently not serving as a member Knesset.
