Police in Eilat are investigating the stabbing death on Saturday of a man in his twenties who was allegedly involved in an altercation with a number of other individuals, according to Israel Radio.

According to reports, the victim has had run-ins with law enforcement in the past. He was found with fatal stab wounds just outside the entrance of an apartment building in the Ye’elim quarter of Eilat.

The victim was immediately rushed to Joseftal Hospital in Eilat for treatment, but medical officials pronounced him dead soon afterwards.
