A reconnaissance officer from the Israel Police was arrested on suspicion of raping and carrying out indecent acts on women conducting their national service in the police force, it was announced Tuesday afternoon. Ofer Koren was detained on Monday after police carried out an internal investigation when two complaints were filed against him; one accusing him of indecent acts and the other of both indecent acts and rape. The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court was set to extend his remand later in the day.
