When Human Rights activist Rabbi Arik Ascherman complained to the police about settlers infringing on Palestinian land the police officer who took the call, thinking the call ended, called him “the biggest Anarchist in the West Bank.”
Ascherman, who recorded the March 18 call, asked the officer if he isn’t ashamed to talk about him in this way to which the police officer said that “we know who you are” and hung up, Haaretz reported.
Co-founder of Rabbis for Human Rights, the American-born Ascherman is known as a fighter for human rights in the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
