The young girl who was found severely beaten in a forested area of Jerusalem in what authorities suspected was a sexual assault late on Wednesday apparently concocted the allegations and inflicted the wounds on herself, according to Israel Radio.

Authorities came to the conclusion that the girl fabricated the story after investigators failed to discover any signs of rape or sexual assault, Israel Radio reported on Thursday.
