Police successfully disarm explosive device in Jaffa; no injured

Police said Thursday evening that an explosive device was discovered near a commercial area in Jaffa.

Bomb squad units were called to Ben Tzvi road near a popular tourist area containing numerous restaurants.

Police were able to successfully disarm the device and were continuing to search the area for other devices.

Authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.

Initial reports indicate that the incident was criminal in nature.
