Security in Jerusalem will be boosted in anticipation of disquiet, police said on Thursday evening.

The decision was based on intelligence that indicated Arab youths were planning to conduct riots in the Old City, east Jerusalem and neighboring villages.

Only Muslim men over the age of 50 who carry Israeli ID cards, as well as Muslim women of all ages, will be permitted to pray on the Temple Mount on Friday.
