Pres. and PM Prize awarded to Ben Gurion U professor

Ben Gurion University Academic Secretary Prof. Ariel Feldestein will be presented with the 2013 President and Prime Minister awards. He is being recognized for perpetuating the memory and legacy of late Prime Minister David Ben Gurion, through his extensive research on Gurion’s work and philosophy.
Feldestein, a historian specializing in the study of Zionist ideology, had previously received the Prize in 2007 for his research on the relationships between the State of Israel and US Jewry under Ben Gurion.
The Prize will be awarded to Feldestein during an official ceremony commemorating Israel's late presidents and prime ministers. Expected to be held next month, the ceremony will be held at the President's residence, in the presence of the President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
