President Reuven Rivlin touched down in Spain to begin his state visit to mark 30 years of diplomatic relations between Spain and Israel and marks 100 years since the return of the Jewish community to Spain following their exile in 1492.

The president was greeted with an official ceremony at the airport and today will take part in an event with the Spanish Jewish community.

Tomorrow, Rivlin will take part in a ceremony at the Royal Palace of Madrid and meet with King Felipe VI and and Queen Letizia of Spain.
