The price of gasoline is expected to decrease by 30 agurot at the beginning of October, officials in the energy sector estimated on Wednesday, bringing the cost below NIS 8 per liter. The follows a sharp rise in September, when the price of gas hit a record high of NIS 8.25 per liter.The cost if expected to decrease due to a sharp fall in the dollar against the shekel, alongside a decrease in the value of fuel in the Mediterranean. The estimates, however, are based on preliminary calculations and the final price will only be determined at the end of September.
