Prosecutor: Accused Los Angeles airport shooter could face death penalty

LOS ANGELES - The man accused of opening fire at the Los Angeles International Airport faces charges of murder of a federal officer and committing violence at an international airport, US Attorney Andre Birotte told reporters on Saturday.

Under the charges, federal prosecutors could seek the death penalty against Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23, Birotte said.
