Rafael Advanced Defense Systems named former IDF Operations Branch commander Maj. Gen. (ret.) Yoav Har Even as President and CEO on Tuesday night.

Har Even will replace former Israel Navy chief V. Adm. (ret.) Yedidia Yaari, who has served as Rafael's President and CEO for the last decade.

The decision follows a unanimous vote by Rafael's Board to adopt the recommendations of the company's Search Committee, the government-owned defense company said.

Har Even served in the IDF for 31 years in a variety of roles, including Commander of a reserve division, Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces Command and in his last role, as Head of the IDF Operations Branch.
