The State Comptroller, Micha Lindenstrauss, filed a report to Knesset on Tuesday morning, detailing the work of the State Ombudsman's Office during 2011.Lindenstrauss told Knesset speaker Reuven Rivlin that the report showed the Ombudsman had dealt with a record number of complaints in 2011 - 15,000 in total, an increase of 6.5 % on 2010.The State Ombudsman is part of the State Comptroller's Office and its role is to examine public complaints against government offices, state institutions, and local government bodies.
