Syrian President Bashar Assad secretly met Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah, a Lebanese paper reported Tuesday.
According to the report in Al Akhbar, the meeting took place in the context of a Syrian situation assessment following the Lebanese elections in June, where the pro-Shi'ite camp led by Hizbullah was defeated.
The election was won by the pro-Western camp, led by Sa'ad Hariri.
