Report: Barak calls Egyptian president ahead of US trip

Defense Minister Ehud Barak called Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak over the weekend, Army Radio cited a report by the Egyptian Al Ahram newspaper on Saturday. The report did not include any further details on the phone call. Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly called the Egyptian president several days ago in order to try and coordinate positions ahead of Mubarak's upcoming visit in Washington. Mubarak is expected to arrive in the United States on Monday.
