WASHINGTON - A deadly chemical weapons attack in Syria blamed on President Bashar al-Assad appears to amount to a war crime, a senior US State Department official said on Tuesday. 'We're gathering facts... and if it is what it looks like then it's clearly a war crime,' said the official, who briefed reporters on condition of anonymity.
