Egyptian soldiers fired upon a group of African migrants trying to enter Israel Tuesday, Ma'an reported. One of the migrants was killed, and three others were injured.

According to the report, Egyptian security sources said that the border police shot at the migrants only after they ignored warning salvos fired into the air.

The incident took place approximately 15 kilometers north of the Taba crossing, Ma'an reported.
