Every hour at least one Holocaust survivor passes away, a study by the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel released on Monday reported.

Today, in Israel, there are some 198,000 survivors of the Holocaust, the yearly report revealed according to Army Radio. In this past year, around 12,000 of these victims died.

The Holocaust foundation provides assistance yearly to about 24,000 survivors through nursing, medical and housing programs.
