Report: Foreign Ministry distances itself from the Mossad

Foreign Ministry employees have reportedly said that they have decided to end relations and not cooperate with Mossad units around the world unless in a matter of emergency, Israel Radio reported Friday morning.

The Foreign Ministry gave the announcement following the report that the Mossad was instructed by the Prime Minister's Office to replace the Foreign Ministry's task of setting-up Prime Minister Binyamin Netayahu's visit in Greece next week.

According to the report, Chairman of the State Worker's Committee Hanan Goder said it is unacceptable that an organization that is meant to deal with security and operates closely with the prime minister, will be used to break a strike by employee's of another office.

Goder also reportedly said that Mossad agents will not receive any political or administrative assistance from the Foreign Ministry or its representatives abroad.
