Eyewitnesses have said that smuggling tunnels at the Egyptian-Gaza border are likely being destroyed, reported Al Masry Al Youm on Sunday.

Sources said that the demolition is being done in accordance with "a deal between Egypt and Gaza to destroy all tunnels which Palestinians have failed to control," according to the report.

Egypt has agreed to tighten security in the area after Palestinian terrorists entered Israel from Sinai and killed eight Israelis in August.
