A senior Egyptian source said Thursday that Israel's decision to approve 40 of 70 prisoners requested by Hamas in the Gilad Schalit deal led to the deal's successful conclusion, Army Radio reports.

According to a report in Al Hayat, Hamas claimed to achieve 60 percent of its demands in the arrangement.
