Following an announcement by Israel authorities that 14 people were arrested in connection with a tax scheme across the country Monday, Channel 2 reported that one of the detainees is the head of a government office.

The identity of those detained remains unclear.

The investigation, opened by Lahav 433 - Israel's National Crime Unit - and conducted in cooperation with the Israel Tax Authority, began over a year ago in April 2016.
