Report: Hezbollah commander Hossam Ali Nisr killed near Damascus

A military commander of Lebanese militant group Hezbollah was reportedly killed in clashes near the Syrian capital, Lebanon's Daily Star reported residents as saying on Monday.

"Hezbollah military commander Hossam Ali Nisr, aged 33, was buried on Saturday. He was defending Sayyida Zeinab when his group was attacked and he was killed," a resident of Nisr's hometown of Kfar Sir in southern Lebanon told AFP.
