Rumors that Hugo Ferdinand Boss designed uniforms for Nazi, and may have even tailored clothes especially for Adolf Hitler, are apparently only partially true.

A new historical study commissioned by the Boss Group has revealed that while Swabian fashion designer and entrepreneur was not Hitler's tailor, he did manufacture Nazi uniforms, Süddeutsche Zeitung reported Thursday.

According to the German-language book Hugo Boss, 1924-1945, the company - which was founded in 1924 - made uniforms for the SS, the Nazi armed forces, and the Hitler Youth.
