According to the report, Rafat Nasif was detained at his home in the West Bank city of Tul Karem.
Israel has expressed concern over Hamas'growing popularity in the West Bank, as well as in the Gaza Strip, where the Islamist group seized power in a bloody coup in 2007. The IDF has recently carried out a series of arrests of Hamas members in the West Bank.
