Report: IDF officer shoots, seriously wounds Beduin man in South

An IDF officer shot and seriously wounded a Beduin man on a military training base in the South on Friday after a verbal altercation escalated, Channel 2 reported.

The incident occurred on the training grounds of the Tze’elim base in the Eshkol Regional Council, just a few kilometers from the border with the Gaza Strip.

According to Channel 2, the two men became engaged in a heated dispute, during which the officer felt physically threatened. It was at this point that he pulled out a firearm and shot the Beduin man twice. The IDF Spokespersons Unit has yet to respond to media inquiries regarding the incident.
