France was set to grant citizenship to a Malian man who helped hide hostages during the siege of a Jewish supermarket in Paris last week, AFP reported Thursday.

Lassana Bathily, the 24-year-old Muslim employee of the Hyper Cacher store, has been lauded for saving a Jewish family in the attack, in which four people were killed on Friday.
