The death toll from fighting in Syria has surpassed 80,000, AFP reported the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as saying Sunday. In February, nearly 70,000 deaths were reported as a result of sectarian violence between rebel forces and loyalists of Syrian President Bashar Assad, according to Navi Pillay, UN high commissioner for human rights.
