Report: Mubarak may be hanged if found guilty of corruption

Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak may be jailed or hanged if he is found guilty of corruption and state violence, head of Cairo's appeals court, Zakaria Shalash, said on Friday according to state media.

"If proven, he [Mubarak] will receive the same punishment as a person who carried out the same crime," state-owned newspaper Al-Ahram reported that Shalash as saying.
