Report: No cuts to Welfare Ministry in next budget

Finance Minister Yair Lapid and Welfare Minister Meir Cohen agreed on Monday morning not to cut the budget of the Welfare Ministry in the upcoming budget but the cuts to child allowances will go forward as planned, Army Radio reported.

In addition, sources in the Ministry of Finance said an increase in the budget of the Welfare Ministry is under consideration in order to fight the war on poverty, according to Army Radio.
