Report: Russia asks for more notice before Israeli activity in Syria

Russia reportedly asked Israel for more notice before Israeli Air Force jets carry out future airstrikes in Syria, Channel 2 reported on Wednesday.

Russia, thus far, received only of a few minutes, and asked for the time to be extended, the news outlet said. A source told the channel Israel could not accept the request.

In September, an Israeli strike ended with Syrian air defenses felling a Russian jet, killing all 12 members on board. Syria blamed the mishap on Israel, and Russia supplied the country with the S-300 air defense system in response.
