Anonymous US government sources have sharply criticized the work of chief Israeli peace negotiator Yitzhak Molcho, Army Radio reported on Monday.

The criticism stemmed from the officials' perceptions that Molcho has been working to protect the political standing of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu at the expense of negotiations.

"He is not conducting negotiations toward reaching a compromise with the Palestinians," the sources told Army Radio.
