A man in his 30s was shot and critically wounded on a Rishon Lezion street on Wednesday night.

The gunshot victim was rushed to the Assaf Harofe Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

Police say the homicide victim is known to them due to previous incidents, and believe the shooting was criminal-related. A murder investigation is underway.
