Israeli President Reuven Rivlin spoke out against the recent uptick in violence in Jerusalem during a ground breaking ceremony for a new roadway named after former prime minister Yitzhak Shamir.

Rivlin said that the violence in the city must be stopped. Jerusalem cannot be lead by the interests of parties who raise and lower their flames at will."
