IDF confirms road closures near Gaza Strip

Roads were closed in areas surrounding the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, the army announced, "in light of Hamas's statements and the clearing of Hamas posts."

The army said no other special instructions were issued.

"The IDF acts to ensure the security of the residents of the area and will not allow harm to civilians and IDF soldiers, and will prepare for a variety of scenarios," the army said.

Earlier, residents were warned about a possible security situation from the Gaza Strip.
