Runaway offender expedited to Israel from Canary Islands

Michael Nadoyah, a drunk driving offender, was expedited to Israel from the Canary Islands after fleeing the country in 2009, the Ministry of Justice announced on Wednesday.
According to the Ministry, Nadoyah was arrested and temporarily convicted on July 8th, 2009, after "causing an accident, driving at improper speeds, showing negligence, drunk driving and causing serious damage."
After his conviction, Nadoyah was released under condition that he stay in Israel until his conviction became finalized, however he fled the country that October.
His expedition was handled by the Ministry's international affairs department in cooperation with the police's Interpol unit.
